Things to See and Do

There’s so much to see and do in our region

Cooma is a thriving pastoral hub of the Snowy Mountains, situated in southeastern NSW on the unique Monaro plains, a naturally treeless landscape and “…home to native grasslands,
plants and animals not found anywhere else in Australia” (Monaro Grasslands Guide: Department of Environment and Energy).

This rural town is the place to stop, enquire and discover the hidden gems of our Snowy Monaro region. Cooma is the largest town in the Snowy Monaro region with a passionate community of arts, history and nature enthusiasts.

There is so much to see with museums, galleries including the award-winning Charles Davis Photographic Gallery, unique bushwalking and mountain bike trails.

Call in and talk to the Tourism Consultants at the Cooma Visitor Centre to make the most of your visit to this stunning region.
