Snowy Trout Challenge

WHAT:  The Snowy Trout Challenge gives anglers the chance to win cash prizes by catching a tagged Rainbow Trout in the Snowy Mountains.

Approximately 400 Rainbow Trout carrying new pink Snowy Trout Challenge tags labelled 2026–2027 will be released into Lake Jindabyne, Lake Eucumbene and Talbingo Reservoir.

Monthly Prize Draws – each verified entry will go into the next $1,000 monthly cash prize draw. Entries remain eligible for all remaining monthly draws until 30 April 2027. Once an angler wins, their entry will be removed from subsequent draws. Draws will be held on the last Sunday of each month and announced live on the Snowy Trout Challenge Facebook page.

WHEN:  1 October 2026- 30 April 2027

How to Enter:

If you catch a Rainbow Trout carrying a pink 2026–2027 STC tag:

1. Photograph the tag, clearly showing the complete tag number.
2. Take a photograph of yourself with your catch.
3. Complete this Catch Survey and upload the required photographs.
4. Check your details carefully before selecting “Submit”.

The tag photograph is mandatory and will be used to verify your entry. Only Rainbow Trout carrying an official pink 2026–2027 Snowy Trout Challenge tag are eligible.
