LAOKO Macropod Carers Training Course

Presented by Michael Milne, one of LAOKO’s experience macropod carers with 30+ years of experience (although he says he’s always learning!), this course is based on Cheryl Dooley’s manual ‘Macropology: A guide to raising and releasing kangaroos and wallabies’ .

The course covers a wide range of topics including joey rescue, initial assessment, care, equipment required, pouch/housing, feeding, toileting, illness, behaviour and release.

Course attendees receive a Welcome Pack of course manuals etc.

Please arrive at 9.15am for a 9.30am start. Morning tea and lunch is provided.

Children under 18 are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by an adult.

Carers from other volunteer wildlife rescue groups are welcome to attend.
