Delegate Public School Celebrating 150 years (152 years)

Head along to celebrate in Delegate NSW with markets, old fashioned games, 150th anniversary of schooling, evening meal and music.

Delegate Public School circa 1900. This year during Heritage week-end the School will celebrate 150 years of schooling in Delegate. Visitors are invited to attend an open day at the school on 29 October to see the unveiling of the 150th Commemorative Plaque, visit the classrooms and meet the children.

There will be a student performance, followed by High Tea. This is part of the Celebrating our Heritage week and follows a morning of heritage games held in the school oval, for both children and adults. Due to the very wet season we are having, this event will not be held at Bill Jeffreys Park, but has been moved to the school.

The Blessing of the Flock was a popular event on the Sunday morning of the Heritage event. This year it will be held at St Philips Church in Hayden Street and everyone is invited to bring along their pets. Those visitors who feel like walking are invited to be taken by bus to the site of the old Woodglen School and do the walk back into town.
