WHAT’S ON: A guided birding walk along one of the Snowy Monaro’s most beautiful and bird-rich riverside corridors — from the Gaden Trout Hatchery to the Thredbo River Picnic Area and back. This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down, tune in, and discover the birds that call this stunning native habitat home. Whether you’re an experienced birder or just starting out, our friendly group will help you find and identify species along the way.

Bring your camera or binoculars and practice your wildlife photography skills in a recognised birding hotspot — the river corridor offers some fantastic opportunities for close encounters with waterbirds, bush birds, and more.
