Men’s Health Education Rural Van @Centennial Park, Cooma

WHAT’S ON: The van will be staffed by a registered nurse who will spend ten minutes with each client checking blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol levels. The consultations are free. Each year in Australia more than four men die every hour from medical conditions that are potentially preventable- that is 41,000 men a year! What a waste! Most men in rural areas do not see their doctor for years at a time. Many just drop dead in the paddock or the pub because nobody saw it coming.
