Berridale

Berridale is a charming village found between Cooma and Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains.  The Main Street is lined with Poplar trees planted by local children in the 1930’s and is a lovely feature of the village.  The presence of granite boulders are also characteristic of the area and are said to be formed by a large magma mass over 400 million years ago miles below the earths surface which gradually eroded and uplifted and eventually became exposed.

This is a spot you should most certainly make time stop and explore.  The artist Lucy Rose has a studio in the Main Street.   Enjoy a bite to eat and wine tasting at Shut The Gate Winery.  Other places to eat are the Bean and Barley and Meet you Halfway .  You might find something gorgeous to take home at the Perfect Piece, Thorn and Snow Boutique and more.

Something for the kids, take them to Lions Park, a playground and skate park with public toilets right next door.  BBQ facilities are also available.
