Located out past the pretty village of Numeralla, Wadbilliga National Park is a perfect area for long bushwalks and overnight camping.
In the Brogo Wilderness Area there are no formal paths and access relies on the walker using topographic maps & compass to determine the best routes. Due to the rugged and relatively isolated nature of the park, animal populations here have remained relatively undisturbed. Wildlife includes swamp wallabies, wombats, possums & the vulnerable spotted tail quoll. Platypus and echidna are particularly common in the Wadbilliga Valley. Birdlife boasts 122 native species.
Cooma Visitors Centre can provide a free basic guide and map to the park or download the South Coast National Parks Booklet. Camp bookings for Cascades Camping Area can be made by calling Bombala NPWS 02 6458 5900.
