Zach’s Ceremony: Awaken the Warrior Within (M)

The Hub Youth Centre is hosting a FREE film screening of ‘Zach’s Ceremony’ on Thursday 31st May to celebrate National Reconciliation Week.

The theme of National Reconciliation Week 2018 is “Don’t Keep History a Mystery: Learn. Share. Grow” and encourages all Australians to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories.

Zach’s Ceremony is a multi-award winning documentary following the coming-of-age story of Zach Doomadgee. Zach finds himself living in two worlds; experiencing the pressures of both his modern inner city lifestyle and his spiritual connection to ancient traditions and culture on Country.

The film follows Zach over ten years and captures the universal themes of family and connection while exploring the unique question of what it means to be a modern man belonging to the oldest living culture on earth.
