    • The accommodation at the guest house is very smart, but casual. Guests have a nice, clean, renovated and furnished room with en-suite bathroom. Some rooms can be combined to make a large suite with a living room and a huge veranda or the old servant’s quarters that has been extended and renovated makes a great self contained two bedroom apartment. Guests are encouraged to relax and take it easy, there are enough spaces to kick back.

The parlor with French doors to the front of the house has a comfortable leather club suite. The dining room is the hub of the home, casual but very Victorian, with a large bay window and ornate fixtures. You may choose to find a corner and watch a movie or TV, maybe read that overdue book.

    • Shirley is a sheep and cattle property near Nimmitabel in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW. It has a six acre garden situated beside a man made lake. The garden has been recently renovated with the help of Melbourne landscape designer Paul Bangay to enhance the work of two previous generations of garden enthusiasts and to incorporate the current families love of European design.

The workman’s cottage has recently been renovated to accommodate up to two couples. It is simply decorated using quality furnishings and includes all bed linens and towels. The kitchen is generous and features European appliances. The living room has a slow burning wood fire and most rooms look onto the lake and landscape. One immediately starts to unwind in this tranquil setting.

Ideal for couples with 2 queen sized bedrooms, however the property is not suitable for children under 18 and as “Shirley” is a working sheep and cattle property, pets are not permitted.
